Rangoon bomb exploded Tuesday. In a separate development, Karen battle (Red) continues

A bomb has exploded at an office of the Union Solidarity and Development Association (USDA) in Shwepyithar Township in the early morning.

No casualties have been reported. Witnesses say security has been tightened in the area after the explosion.

The USDA is a government-backed social welfare group whose members have been accused of attacking pro-democracy movements.

The government has not blamed any person or group for the bombing yet.

Karen battle continues

In a separate development, the battle between KNU and the government-backed DKBA troops has continued until this morning.

The Burmese army and DKBA, a splinter group known as Democratic Karen Buddhist Army, first attacked the War Lay Khee camp controlled by KNU yesterday.
